What is Neurofeedback for?

NeurOptimal® helps your brain unlock its full potential by releasing patterns that block optimal function.

Feeling off or stuck? Your brain might need a reset. Think of those moments when you felt clear, focused, and “in the zone”—NeurOptimal® helps you get there.

Whether you’re an athlete, student, or just seeking more flow in life, NeurOptimal® acts like a mental “defrag,” helping you perform and feel your best.

Be your best self. It’s time.

Who can benefit from Neurofeedback?

Anyone with a brain.

It’s safe, simple, and adaptable—no expertise, evaluations, or settings required. Just press Go, and your brain receives the information it needs, microsecond by microsecond.

For toddlers to seniors, the sick to the well, and everyone in between—it works wherever you are.

Anybody. Anywhere. Anytime.

How does it work?

NeurOptimal® gives your brain real-time feedback to help it self-organize.

During a session, sensors detect your brain's electrical activity while you relax with music or a movie. When your brain shows signs of “instability,” the music or movie briefly pauses, like a “rumble strip” guiding you back on track. Your brain adjusts naturally, without effort or conscious awareness.

There’s no diagnosis, no settings, and no outside interference—just your brain learning to function more efficiently. Over time, life feels easier as mental blocks fade away.

Your brain knows best. NeurOptimal® simply helps it thrive.

Is it safe?

NeurOptimal® is non-invasive, pain-free, and incredibly safe because it doesn’t force outcomes or train specific states—it simply provides your brain with information to use as it sees fit.

During a session, you may hear brief pauses in the sound, similar to a skip in a record, but they’re harmless. With over three million hours of safe usage worldwide, NeurOptimal® has proven its reliability.

Do the results last?

NeurOptimal® works like learning to read—once you’ve done it, it sticks. After 20 sessions or so, you’ve “got it in your back pocket.” If life throws you off, a few sessions can quickly reset you.

Some use NeurOptimal® for self-care, like exercise, running sessions weekly or monthly to stay tuned. It’s flexible—you can train anytime, pause, and pick it up later.

Whether relaxing or multitasking, NeurOptimal® fits into your life and helps you bounce back when needed. Your brain knows when it’s time for a session!

Is it FDA approved?

Yes! NeurOptimal® has been designated a General Wellness Product by the FDA.

Who developed this?

The co-founders of NeurOptimal®, a neurofeedback system, are Dr. Valdeane W. Brown and Dr. Susan Cheshire Brown. They developed NeurOptimal as a dynamic neurofeedback technology designed to support brain self-regulation and optimize performance. Both Drs. Brown have backgrounds in psychology and neuroscience and have contributed significantly to the field of neurofeedback.

Dynamical® vs. Linear Neurofeedback

Dynamical neurofeedback, like the NeurOptimal® system we use, adapts in real-time to the brain's activity, providing feedback based on moment-to-moment changes, without forcing specific protocols that may introduce side effects. Linear neurofeedback, on the other hand, targets specific brainwave frequencies to train the brain toward predefined states.
